一、 旨揭「第七屆國際太空站 KIBO 機器人程式設計挑戰賽」由美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）及日本宇宙航空研究開發機構（JAXA）合作，並由JAXA主辦，旨在推廣日本國際太空站實驗艙（Kibo）於亞太地區之應用，提供學生學習太空機器人技術及程式設計之教育機會，並實踐聯合國永續發展目標（SDGs）。臺灣預賽由本中心主辦，並補助獲選團隊代表臺灣參與日本總決賽。我國代表隊於第六屆國際總決賽榮獲冠軍，展現我國學生在太空機器人技術及程式設計領域之優異表現。為延續國內太空科技人才培育及國際交流，爰辦理第七屆臺灣預賽。
二、 本屆競賽分為「一般組」及「初級組」，兩組參賽資格及競賽方式如下：
（一）一般組：參賽對象為具中華民國學籍之國小至大專校院學生，競賽難度為標準級，參賽成員之程式設計程度不設限制。獲選團隊將代表臺灣參與日本總決賽。
（二）初級組：參賽對象為具中華民國學籍之國小至國中學生，競賽難度較一般組簡單，且團隊所有成員均須為程式設計初學者。初級組僅參與線上決賽，不赴日本參加總決賽。
（三）組別選擇：國小至國中學生符合兩組參賽資格，得依團隊程度及參賽目標選擇組別；欲爭取代表臺灣赴日本參與總決賽者，應報名一般組。
